The main reason I am writing you is because
I am always concerned for you and the burden of you is always with me. Yahoshua Ha MaShiach is coming very soon and
I fear we are far from ready to receive Him as our King. Unless He miraculously intervenes we cannot
hope to be ready against that fearful and dreadful day of consuming fire. 2Kepha/Peter 3, Habakkuk 3.
Yahweh has declared in His Word that He
does not change. Mal’ aki 3:6 “For
I am יהוה, I
shall not change, and you, O sons of Yaʽaqoḇ, shall not come to an end.” Ibrim / Hebrews 13:8 יהושע Messiah is the same yesterday, and
today, and forever.
How come then everyone of
our family members, without exception, insist that Yahweh, Yahoshua has
changed? How come you do not believe the
plain teaching of the Word of Yahweh Elohim?
If I said I did not believe you, wouldn’t that be the same as my saying
you are lying? Why do all of our family
members accuse Yahweh of lying by not believing His Words? Hear the Word of Yahweh!
Debarim
/ Deuteronomy 12:30-32 “guard yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them,
after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire about
their mighty ones, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their mighty ones? And let me do so too. ’ (See
also 18:9, Lev. 18:3, Jer.10:1-4, Ezek. 11:12 & 20:32, Eph. 4:17, and 1
Peter 4:3) “Do not do so to יהוה your Elohim, for every abomination
which יהוה hates they have done to their
mighty ones, for they even burn their sons and daughters in the fire to their mighty ones. “All the words I am commanding you, guard
to doit – do not add to it nor take away from it. (See also 4:2, Prov.
30:6, Rev. 22:18-19.)
Yirmeyahu
/ Jeremiah 16:19 O יהוה, my strength and my stronghold and
my refuge, in the day of distress the
gentiles shall come to You from the ends of the earth and say, “Our
fathers have inherited only falsehood, futility, and there is no value in
them.” (See Ps. 147:19, Isa. 2:3, Isa. 60:2-3, John 4:22, Rom.
2:20, Rom. 3:2, Rom. 9:4.)
Please note: this prophecy
is fulfilled in the day of Yahoshua’s return to this world!
Everyone
of our family members, including Jenn and myself, have inherited lies from our
fathers. Even though most of us were
taught “Sola Scriptora”, “by the authority of “The Scriptures” alone”, out of
the other side of the mouth we were also taught the pagan traditions, beliefs
and holidays which have been passed down from the unholy Roman Catholic
church.
These
traditions include Sunday veneration and Christmas & Easter holiday
celebrations just to name a very few.
The open acceptance of pagan worship in the “Christian” churches defies
all logic. If the Elohim of the Torah
and the TaNaKh (OT) hated to be worshipped in the traditions, holidays and
beliefs of the pagans then how come He changed His mind and finds it acceptable
in the Brit ha Dashah (the New Testament)?
Many
believers in the assemblies of Elohim have told me that they are not
worshipping pagan deities and they are worshipping and honoring Jesus Christ
and His Father when they practice their “Christianized” paganism.
My
question to them is simply, “Which Elohim are you worshipping? The Elohim of your imagination or the one who
declared He hates to be worshipped on the holidays of the pagans, according to
the tradition of the pagans and according to the beliefs of the pagans? In other words are you worshipping Elohim or
are you worshipping yourself?
My
wife Jennifer gave me this illustration to share with you. Suppose a woman was left widowed. Every year she kept (a) certain day(s) set
apart when she would invite her friends and family to come and celebrate the
memory of her departed husband. These
included the night He was betrayed by a close friend (The Master’s Memorial
Supper ~ Mattithyahu 26:20-30), the day he died (The Passover Feast), the day
He ascended into Heaven (The Day Of The First Fruits) and the day his will was
read and the blessings of his wealth transferred to her (The Day Of Pentecost).
Throughout
the years the woman extended her hospitality to even the strangers that moved
into the neighborhood. These people
never knew her husband, personally, however they joined themselves to this
celebration every year because of how wonderful it was to hear about him and be
around set-apart people. In fact they
felt as though they knew him as well as the others because of all the wonderful
testimonies they heard while attending these set-apart days in celebration.
As
time wore on, eventually, there were more strangers who attended the days of
celebration in honor of the deceased husband than there where friends and
family. These strangers began to insist
that their previously departed husbands also be honored. However, the friends and family of the
widow’s husband could not accept the thought of honoring anyone else on his set-apart
days of celebration.
The
strangers, however, kept insisting that their dead husbands (i.e. Nimrod,
Tammuz, Zeus, Jupiter, Baal, etc.) were of equal importance. So eventually, after many debates and heated
arguments, a compromise was reached. It
was decided that they would continue to honor the original widow’s husband in
his name only (Y’shua/Yah-Ha-Shua). From
now on, however, they would celebrate the days of honor of the stranger’s
deceased husbands in the tradition and beliefs of their dead husbands.
As time marched on the strangers decided to
even drop the name of the widow’s husband in order to further honor one of
their deceased husbands (Zues / Je-seus).
This story, though seemingly preposterous,
is exactly what the “church” has done over the last 1900 years.
Rav
Shaul (The Apostle / Rabbi Paul) warned us this was going to happen. Acts 20:28-31 “Therefore take heed to
yourselves and to all the flock, among which the set-apart Spirit has made you
overseers, to shepherd the assembly of Elohim which He has purchased with His
own blood. “For I know this, that
after my departure savage wolves1 shall come in among you, not
sparing the flock. (See also,1See Matt 7:15-23, 10:16, Luke
10:3, John 10:12). “Also from among
yourselves men shall arise, speaking distorted teachings, to draw away the taught ones after themselves. “Therefore watch, remembering that for three
years, night and day, I did not cease to warn each one with tears.
This
is exactly what has happened! Savage
wolves have come into the assembly of Elohim with such a vengeance that when
someone comes along with the true doctrine of Yahoshua he is labeled a heretic,
an apostate, a legalist, a Pharisee, a Judaizer, a blasphemer, etc, etc, etc!
1Yahonan / John 2:18-19 “Little children, it is the last hour. And as
you have heard that the anti-messiah is coming, even now many anti-messiahs
have come. This is how we know that it is the last hour. They
went out from us, but they were not of us, for if they had been of us,
they would have stayed with us – but in order that it might be made manifest
that none of them were of us.”
The
apostle Yahonan also warned us that anti-Messiah and His doctrine would come
from within the assemblies of Elohim, not from without. Unfortunately, every single detail of
prophecy concerning the anti-messiah has come to pass, against tens of billions
to one odds, and most of the “church” refuses to believe their fulfillment.
Rav
Shaul also warns us, “Let no one deceive you in any way, because the falling away is to come first,
and the man of lawlessness is to be revealed, the son of destruction.” 2Thessalonians
2:3
Even though almost everybody fell away, during
the dark/middle ages from A.D. 538-1798, from the true faith, that is by grace,
and the doctrine of Yahoshua, most believers in these last days and hours have
been duped to look for a future falling away and a different / coming
anti-messiah than the one whom fulfilled all the prophecy.
Many
believers profess, “we are under grace and not under the law”. Whereas, these words are “Scripture”, the
intent of the usage is not Scriptural.
According to the average believer who quotes this we are not supposed to
do what “The Scriptures” command us to do and we are also now given permission
to do what “The Scriptures” tell us not to do.
Romans 6:14-16
For sin shall not rule over you,
for you are not under the Torah but under favour. What then?
Shall we sin because we are not under the Torah but under favour? Let it
not be! Do you not know that to whom you present
yourselves servants for obedience, you are servants of the one whom you obey,
whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness?
It
is ironic that the very words the believer quotes to justify their rebellion
indicts them as rebels! Because we are
under grace we are not supposed to be in bondage to sin!
1Yahonan / John 3:4 “Everyone doing sin also does lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.”
Thus for most “believers” “the gospel” is
proclaimed as follows, (Rom. 3:23 all
have sinned (torah-less-ness) and (Rom. 6:23) are deserving of death.
However, Elohim wants to give you the free gift of eternal life in Yahoshua
ha MaShiach and if you will just (Acts 3:19) repent of your sin (missing the mark, which is the Torah) and
(Rom. 10:9-10) confess with your mouth
Yahweh Yahoshua and that He is risen from the dead you shall be saved and now
you can live for and worship your savior and new found husband (Eph.
5:31-32) any which way you please
because we are no longer under “The Torah” we are under grace.
The
average “believer” does not know that sin is missing the mark of “The Torah” and that repentance means returning to “The Torah.” We are called to abandon our lives of
Torah-less-ness and follow after Torah!
Yahoshua is the living Torah! (Yahonan
/ John 1:1 & Matt 5:17-19)
Please
consider the following: 1) Torah means, the
instructions. Many people refer
to the Bible as Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. 2) One of the primary pictures of “The Torah”
is, the clouds that bring rain
(living water). (Also See 2Kepha / Peter 2:17 & Yahudah / Jude v.12) 3) Yahoshua said to ha Satan that man should
live by every word of “The Torah”. Matthew 4:4
But He answering, said, “It has been written, ‘Man shall not live by
bread alone, but by every word that
comes from the mouth of יהוה.’ ” (Also See Debarim / Duet. 8:3)
The only words spoke by
Yahweh Elohim in “The Scriptures”, prior to Yahoshua’s coming, was “The Torah”. All other “Scripture” was given by the
inspiration of the set-apart Spirit.
Shemoth (Exodus) 33:11 "Thus יהוה spoke
to Mosheh face to face, as a man speaks to his friend."
2Timothy 3:16 "All “Scripture” is breathed by Elohim and profitable for teaching, for
reproof, for setting straight, for instruction in righteousness."
Amazingly,
the only “Scripture” Rav Shaul (the apostle Paul) could have possibly been
referencing is found in Judges through Malachai because the cannon of “The First
Century Writings” (NT) had not been fully established until after Shaul’s
death. Yet most “churches” today have
lesser regard for “the Scriptures” which Shaul was referring to, than they do
for the NT commentary on these very same “Scriptures”. No wonder there is much confusion during
these final hours of our present age.
Hear
the Word of Yahweh concerning exactly what “The Scriptures” are! From the testimony of Yahoshua and throughout
all the first century assembly of believers in Yahoshua “The Scriptures” were
the TaNaKh or (OT)!
Luke
24:27 “And beginning at Mosheh and all the Prophets, He was explaining to them
in all “The Scriptures” the matters
concerning Himself.”
Luke
24:45 “Then He opened their minds to understand “The Scriptures,”
Acts
17:2
“And according to his practice, Sha’ul went in unto them, and for
three
Sabbaths was reasoning with them from “The
Scriptures”.”
Acts
17:11 “Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonike, who received the
word with great eagerness, and searched “The
Scriptures” daily, if these words were so.”
Acts
18:24 “And a certain Yahuḏite named Apollos, born at
Alexandria, a learned man and mighty in “The
Scriptures,” came to Ephesos.”
Acts
28:23 “And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his
lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of Elohim, persuading
them concerning Yahoshua, both out of
“The Torah” of Moshe, and out of the prophets, from morning till
evening.”
Romans
15:4 “For whatever was written before was written for our instruction, that
through endurance and encouragement of “The
Scriptures” we might have the expectation.”
1Corinthians
15:3 “For I delivered to you at the first that which I also received: that
Messiah died for our sins according to “The
Scriptures”.”
It
is a great irony that most of the authority of the local “New Testament Church”
is derived from the writings of Rav Shaul (The apostle Paul) from
Romans-Hebrews(?). Shaul’s writings make
up less then 5% of the entire cannon of “The Scriptures” and yet the “church”
will claim that this 5% makes void the other 95%. Kepha (the apostle Peter) warned us this was
already happening in his day and that it was destroying the body of the Messiah!
2Kepha
/ Peter 3:15-17 and reckon the patience
of our Master as deliverance, as also
our beloved brother Sha’ul wrote to you, according to the wisdom given to him,
as also in all his letters,
speaking in them concerning these matters,
in which some are hard to understand, which those who are untaught and unstable
twist to their own destruction, as they do also the other “Scriptures”.
(Also See 1Cor. 11:6) You, then, beloved ones, being forewarned, watch, lest
you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the delusion of
the torah-less,
Due
to this mass confusion / delusion there is wide spread distortion of what “The
Scriptures” actually teach on a great variety of subjects. Perhaps there is no greater confusion than
over the issue of the 7th day Sabbath. Most “Christians”, today, regard 7th
day Sabbath keeping as legalism.
However, when you point out to these same “Christians” that Elohim
ordained marriage between a man and a woman, in “The Torah”, on the 6th
day of creation and all throughout the rest of “The Torah”, they cannot explain
to you why it is not legalism to require holy matrimony in the body of Messiah
and yet it is legalism to honor the set-apart Shabbat.
Most
of the “church” has never read the book of Acts from the beginning to the end
and thus they do not know what “The Scriptures” actually teach on the
subject.
Acts
13:14-15 “But passing through from Perge, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and
went into the congregation on the
Sabbath day and sat down. And
after the reading of “The Torah” and the Prophets, the rulers of the
congregation sent to them, saying, “Men, brothers, if you have any word of
encouragement for the people, speak.””
Some
might argue that only the Yahudim / Jews kept the Sabbath set-apart in the book
of Acts. To these I say keep on
reading!
Acts
13:42-44 “And when the Yahudim
went out of the congregation, the
gentiles begged to have these words spoken to them the next Sabbath. And
when the meeting of the congregation had broken up, many of the Yahuḏim
and of the worshipping converts followed Sha’ul and Barnaḇah,
who, speaking to them, were urging them to continue in the favour of
Elohim. And on the next Sabbath almost all the city came together to
hear “the Word of Elohim”.”
Acts 16:13 “And on the Sabbath day we went outside the city by a river,
where there used to be prayer. And having sat down we were speaking to the
women who met there.”
Acts 17:2 “And according to his practice, Sha’ul went in unto them, and for three Sabbaths was reasoning
with them from “The Scriptures”.
Acts 18:4 “And he was reasoning in the
congregation every Sabbath,
and won over both Yahuḏim
and Greeks.”
Ibrim / Hebrews 4:9 So there remains a Sabbath-keeping for the people of Elohim. ~
From “The Scriptures Translation” which
renders the greek sabbatismos correctly as Sabbath.
You can search “The Scriptures” high and low and
you will not find any new command to keep Sunday in substitution of the Sabbath
day nor can you find any command not to keep the Sabbath set-apart unto
Yahweh. As a matter of fact if Yahoshua
commanded us to break the fourth command I would contend that He would by
definition have to be the anti-messiah.
Ironically, this is exactly what the anti-messiah has ordered the
“church” to do.
By the tradition of “the church” and not by “The
Scriptures” he has commanded the forsaking of the Sabbath for Sunday.
The first anti-messiah to do this was the Roman Emperor
Constantine. He commanded everyone to
rest on Sunday. In the
year 321 A.D. Constantine, yielding to the suggestion of the Roman Church
leaders passed the first Sunday law!
Here it is, straight out of the record:
"Let all the judges and
town people, and the occupation of all trades rest on the venerable day of the
sun" Edict of March 7,
321 A.D. Corpus Juris Civilis Cod., lib. 3, tit. 12, Lex. 3.
In addition he commanded everyone to be put to death who would
continue to observe the Sabbath to keep it set-apart unto Yahweh.
After Constantine every Roman Catholic Pope
ordered the same / similar concerning Sunday observance in substitution of the
Sabbath for over 1,000 years of history.
"The
Pope is of so great authority and power that he can modify, explain, or
interpret even divine laws. The Pope can modify divine law, since his power is
not of man but of God, and he acts as vicegerent of God upon earth with most
ample power of binding and loosing his sheep."-P.F.L.
Ferraris, Ecclesiastical Dictionary, art. On the Pope.
“The pope's will stands for
reason. He can dispense above the law, and of wrong make right by correcting
and changing laws." - Pope
Nicholas, Dis. 96. "The pope has power to change times, to abrogate laws, and to dispense
with all things, even the precepts of Christ."-Decretal de
Translat, Episcop. Cap
"The Catholic Church for over one thousand years before the existence of
a Protestant, by virtue of her divine mission, changed the day from Saturday to
Sunday."-Catholic Mirror, Sept. 23, 1893.
You will notice in this information that the
Church declares that it was not Elohim who changed the day from the Sabbath to Sunday
but that they, the papists, were the ones who made this change.
The Sabbath was
officially changed by the Papacy at the Council of Laodicea on March 7, 364
A.D. That was 43 years after Constantine declared Sunday the day for Christians
to honor as a rest day.
"Question. - Have you any
other way of proving that the church has power to institute festivals of
precept?"
"Answer. - Had she not such power, she could
not have done that in which all modern religionists agree with her,-she could
not have substituted the observance of Sunday the first day of the week, for
the observance of Saturday the seventh day, a change for which there is no
Scriptural authority."-Rev. Stephen Keenan, A Doctrinal
Catechism, p. 174.
This quotation emphasizes the fact that since the world accepts Sunday as a day of worship, this acknowledges her supremacy. "I have repeatedly offered $1,000 to any one who can prove to me from the Bible alone that I am bound to keep Sunday holy. There is no such law in the Bible. It is a law of the holy Catholic Church alone. The Bible says, 'Remember that thou keep holy the Sabbath day. ' The Catholic Church says, 'No; by my divine power I abolish the Sabbath day, and command you to keep holy the first day of the week.' and lo! The entire civilized world bows down in reverent obedience to the command of the holy Catholic Church. 'Priest Enright, C.S.S.R., Kansas City, Missouri.
There is no question concerning the
changing of Sabbath the seventh day to Sunday the first day by the Papacy. You
can readily see that there is nothing to be found in “The Scripture” about
changing the day of worship from the 7th day to Sunday. The Papacy
is correct in stating that they changed the day.
"In reply to a letter of October 28, 1895, to Cardinal Gibbons, asking if the church claimed the change of the Sabbath as her mark, the following was received: 'Of course the Catholic church claims that the change was her act .... And the act is a mark of her ecclesiastical power and authority in religious matters.' - C.F. Thomas, Chancellor."
Universal acceptance of Sunday as the
premier day of worship is a definite mark of authority of the Roman Catholic
Church. We will soon see, while it is
not the “Mark of the Beast” it is a "Mark of the Beast." Of this there is absolutely no question,
either in “The Word of Elohim” or in history.
Are Protestant churches aware of these facts? Do they agree that there is no Scriptural
authority for Sunday keeping?
Let us now turn to the various Protestant
churches and hear from them.
Presbyterian: "The Christian Sabbath (Sunday) is not in the Scripture, and was not by the primitive church called the Sabbath.'Dwight's theology, vol. 4, p. 401.
Congregational: "There is no command in the Bible requiring us to observe the first day of the week as the Sabbath." Fowler, Mode and Subjects ofBaptism.
Lutheran: "The observance of the Lord's day (Sunday) is founded not on any command of God, but on the authority of the church."-"Augsburg Confession of Faith," quoted in Cox's Sabbath Manual, p. 287.
Episcopalian: "The festival of Sunday, like all other festivals, was always only a human ordinance, and it was far from the intentions of the apostles to establish a divine command in this respect, far from them and from the early apostolic church, to transfer the laws of the Sabbath to Sunday." - Neander, The History of the Christian Religion and Church, p. 186, translated by Henry John Rose, B.D. (Philadelphia: James M. Campbell & Co., 1843).
Methodist: "it is true there is no positive command for infant baptism .... Nor is there any for keeping holy the first day of the week." - Rev. Amos Binney, Theological Compend, pp. 180, 181, 1902 ed.
Dr. Edward T. Hiscox, author of The Baptist Manual, before a group of ministers, made this candid admission: "There was and is a commandment to keep holy the Sabbath day, but that Sabbath day was not Sunday. It will be said, however, and with some show of triumph, that the Sabbath was transferred from the seventh to the first day of the week, with all its duties, privileges, and sanctions. Earnestly desiring information on this subject, which I have studied for many years, I ask, Where can the record of such a transaction be found? Not in the New Testament, absolutely not. There is no Scriptural evidence of the change of the Sabbath institution from the seventh to the first day of the week. "Of course," he continues, "I quite well know that Sunday did come into use in early Christian history as a religious day, as we learn from the Christian fathers and other sources. But what a pity that it comes branded with the mark of Paganism, and christened with the name of the sun god, when adopted and sanctioned by the papal apostasy, and bequeathed as a sacred legacy to Protestantism!" - From a paper read before a New York Ministers' Conference, held Nov. 13, 1893.
Finally, why would the Messiah tell the apostles to pray that their flight from Yahrushalayim not be in the winter or on the Sabbath if He knew that the Sabbath was to be done away with? That doesn’t even make sense, does it? Mattithyahi 24:20 “And pray that your flight does not take place in winter or on the Sabbath.”
Another
widely held misconception of Christianity is that the first “church” was
gentile because the Yahudim had rejected their Messiah. Let’s see what “The Scriptures” say.
Acts
2:5 “Now in Yahrushalayim there were
dwelling Yahuḏim,
dedicated men from every nation under the heaven.”
Acts
2:8-11 “And how do we hear, each one in our own language in which we were
born? “Parthians and Medes and
Ěylamites, and those dwelling in Aram Naharayim, both Yahuḏah and Kappadokia, Pontos and
Asia, both Phrygia and Pamphulia, Mitsrayim and the parts of Libya around Cyrene,
visitors from Rome, both Yahuḏim and converts, “Cretans and Araḇs, we hear them speaking in our
own tongues the great deeds of Elohim.”
Acts
2:41 “Then those, indeed, who gladly received his word, were immersed. And on
that day about three thousand beings were added to them.”
The first
3,000 converts on the first Pentecost were all Yahudim (Jews)!
Acts
3:1
“And Kĕpha and Yaḥanan
were going up to the Set-apart Place at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.”
Acts
3:11 “And as the lame man who was healed was clinging to Kĕpha
and Yaḥanan,
all the people ran together to them in the porch which is called Shelomoh’s,
greatly amazed.”
Acts
4:4 “But many of those who had heard the word believed, and the number
of
the men became about five thousand.”
The second wave
of believers were also Yahudim!
Acts 6:7 “And the Word of Elohim spread, and the number of the taught ones
increased greatly in Yahrushalayim, and a great many of the priests were
obedient to the belief.”
The
first non-Yahudite / (non-Jew) to convert and follow Yahoshua was a gentile
convert to Yahudaism. Most “Christians”
completely miss this very important point of “The Scriptures”. Cornelius was not a practicing pagan!
Acts 10:1-2 “Now there was a certain man in
Caesarea called Cornelius, a captain of what was called the Italian Regiment, dedicated, and fearing Elohim with all
his household, doing many kind deeds to the people, and praying to Elohim
always.”
Acts 10:22 “And
they said, “Cornelius the captain, a righteous man and one who fears Elohim and well spoken of by the entire nation of the
Yahuḏim, was instructed by a set-apart messenger to send
for you to his house, and to hear words from you.”
Acts 10:30-31 “And Cornelius said, “Four days ago I was fasting until this
hour. And at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and see, a man stood
before me in shining garments, and said,
‘Cornelius, your prayer has been heard, and your kind deeds were remembered
before Elohim.”
Acts
10:34-37 “And opening his mouth, Kĕpha
said, “Truly I see that Elohim shows
no partiality, but in every nation, he who fears Him and works righteousness is
accepted by Him. “He sent the
word to the children of Yisra’ĕl,
bringing the Good News: peace through יהושע Messiah! He is Master of all. “You know
what word came to be throughout all Yahuḏah,
beginning from Galil after the immersion which Yaḥanan
proclaimed:”
Acts
13:14-16 “But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia,
and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down. And after the reading of “The Torah” and “The
Prophets” the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and
brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on. Then Shaul stood up, and beckoning with his
hand said, Men of Yisrael, and ye that fear Elohim, give audience.”
Acts
13:42-44 “And when the Yahudim were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles
besought that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath. Now
when the congregation was broken up, many of the Yahudim and religious
proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to
continue in the favor of Elohim.
And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear
“The Word of Elohim”.”
Acts
14:1
“And it came to be in Ikonion that they went together into the congregation of
the Yahuḏim, and spoke in such a way
that a great number of both Yahuḏim and Greeks believed.”
Acts
17:1-4 “And having passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to
Thessalonike, where there was a congregation of the Yahuḏim. And according to his practice, Sha’ul went in
unto them, and for three Sabbaths was reasoning with them from “The Scriptures”,
explaining and pointing out that the Messiah had to suffer and rise again from
the dead, and saying, “This is the Messiah, יהושע, whom I proclaim to you.”
And some of them did believe, and a large number of the worshipping
Greeks, and not a few of the leading women, joined Sha’ul and Sila.”
Acts
18:1-4
“After these things Sha’ul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth; And found
a certain Yahudite named Aquila,
born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all
Yahudim to depart from Rome:) and came unto them. And because he was of the same craft, he
abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were
tentmakers. And he reasoned in the
synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded
the Yahudim and the Greeks.”
Acts
18:7-8 “And having left there he came to the house of a certain man named
Justus, who worshipped Elohim, whose house was next to the congregation. And Crispus, the ruler of the congregation,
did believe in the Master with all his household. And many of the Corinthians,
hearing, believed and were immersed.”
Acts
18:18-21
“And Sha’ul, having stayed several days more, having taken leave of the
brothers, was sailing for Syria, and Priscilla and Aqulas were with him, having
shaved his hair at Kenḥrea, for he had taken a
vow. And he came to Ephesos, and left
them there, but he himself went into
the congregation and reasoned with the Yehuḏim. And when they asked him to stay a longer time
with them, he declined, but took leave of them, saying, “I have to keep this
coming festival in Yahrushalayim by all means, but I shall come back to you,
Elohim desiring so.” And he sailed from Ephesos.”
Acts
19:10 “And this took place for two years, so that all who dwelt in Asia heard
the word of the Master יהושע, both Yahuḏim and
Greeks.
Acts 19:17 “And this became known to all, both Yahuḏim and Greeks dwelling in Ephesos. And fear fell on
them all, and the Name of the Master יהושע was made great.”
Acts 21:19-24 “And having greeted them, he was
relating one by one what Elohim had done among the gentiles through his
service. And when they heard it, they
praised the Master. And they said to him, “You see, brother, how many thousands of Yahuḏim there are who have believed, and all are
ardent for “The Torah”. “And they
have been informed about you that you teach all the Yahuḏim who are among the gentiles to forsake Mosheh,
saying not to circumcise the children nor to walk according to the practices. “What
then is it? They shall certainly hear that you have come. “So
do this, what we say to you: We have four men who have taken a vow. “Take them and be cleansed with them, and pay
their expenses so that they shave their heads. And all shall know that what they have been informed about you is
not so, but that you yourself also walk orderly, keeping “The Torah”.
Acts 28:17-24 “And it came to be after three days
that Sha’ul called the leaders of the
Yahuḏim together. And when they had come together, he
said to them, “Men, brothers, though I have done none at all against our people
or the practices of our fathers, I was delivered as a prisoner from Yahrushalayim
into the hands of the Romans, who, when they had examined me, intended to let
me go, because there was no cause for putting me to death. “But the Yahuḏim
spoke against it, and I was compelled to appeal to Caesar, not that I had any
accusation against my nation. “This
therefore is the reason I called for you, to see you and speak with you. It is
because of the expectation of Yisra’ĕl that I am bound with this chain.” And they said to him, “We neither received
letters from Yahuḏah
concerning you, nor have any of the brothers who came reported or spoken
whatever wicked about you. “And we think
it right to hear from you what you think, for indeed, concerning this sect, we
know that it is spoken against everywhere.”
And having appointed him a day, many came to him where he was staying,
to whom he was explaining, earnestly witnessing about the reign of Elohim, and persuading them concerning יהושע from both “The Torah” of Mosheh and
“The Prophets”, from morning until evening.
And some indeed were persuaded by what was said, but some believed not.”
So, are you a Hebrew?
“If you submit and obey, you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword,” for the mouth of יהוה has spoken. Isaiah 1:19-20
Galatians 3:29 “And if you are of Messiah, then you are seed of Aḇraham,
and heirs according to promise.”
Abraham was / is the first Hebrew! By logical extension if we are his seed then we also must be Hebrews. Hebrew means, one who has crossed over. Just like our father Abraham we have crossed over from death to life by Yahweh's favor through belief and our works of righteousness will soon follow.
“If you submit and obey, you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword,” for the mouth of יהוה has spoken. Isaiah 1:19-20
The
logical question at this point is where did Sunday observance come from if not
from the pages of “The Scripture”? Are there any “Scriptures” that support
Sunday observance?
The
short answer is a resounding, NO! As a
matter of fact the first assemblies had been observing “Resurrection” or “First
Fruits” Sunday and “Pentecost” Sunday every year for over 1,500 years. It was and is commanded to observe these two
days from Way yiqra / Leviticus 23:11 & 16.
What is even more interesting is that “Pentecost” Sunday was commanded
to be observed as one of seven annual Sabbaths unto Yahweh! (Way yiqra /
Leviticus 23:21) A great maxim of
“Scripture” Studies is, “If it is new, it is not true!” Unfortunately, most who exclaim this, do not actually
believe it!
Unbelievably,
there is not one verse in the entire account of “Scripture” to support a Sunday
resurrection. Actually, the Scriptural
accounts in the Gospel’s of Mark and Luke make it impossible to have a first
day resurrection at all.
Mark 16:1 “And when the Sabbath was past, Miryam from Maḡdala,
and Miryam the mother of Yaʽaqoḇ,
and Shelomah bought spices, to go and anoint Him.”
Luke
23:56 “And having returned, they prepared spices and perfumes. And they rested
on the Sabbath according to the command.”
Taken
at face value these two “Scriptures” are in conflict with one another if a
Friday Crucifixion and Sunday Resurrection are believed to be a reality.
However,
there is no contradiction at all if they are reconciled by the Feasts of Yahweh
as recorded in Way yiqra / Leviticus 23.
Yahoshua died on the Passover at 3p.m. and was buried just prior to the
annual Sabbath of Unleavened Bread. (Way yiqra 23:6-7) This would have been from evening at sunset
on Wednesday April 5th A.D. 30. until Thursday evening at
sunset. From Thursday evening and all
day Friday would have been the day after this annual Sabbath (Mark 16:1) and
the day before the weekly Sabbath. (Luke 23:56)
Translators
completely ignore that Mattithyahu 28:1 is Sabbaton ~ Strong’s G4521. Any good concordance will tell you this is the
plural form of Sabbath. This rendering is obviously to
account for more than one Sabbath, the annual Sabbath and the weekly
Sabbath. However, till this very day
every translation incorrectly renders it Sabbath, singular.
To further illustrate the bias of the King James translators, “Sabbatismos”, the singular form of Sabbath, is rendered as “rest” and not the Sabbath, which of course it is. Most Protestants throughout the world did not keep the Sabbath set apart unto Yahweh and therefore they did not want to stir up the people to question whether or not they should obey Yahweh rather than men.
“There remaineth therefore a rest (Sabbath - Strong's G4520) to
the people of Elohim.” Ibrim
(Hebrews) 4:9
By
this correct understanding, 1) There is no longer any contradiction in the
Gospel account, 2) All the Spring Feasts are fulfilled in the death, burial,
resurrection and Pentecost at the exact second appointed local Yahrushalayim
time, 3) Yahoshua is in the grave for three full days and nights, 4) and He
still rises from the dead on the 3rd day, (of the Feast of
Unleavened Bread), which is the exact context of the story line.
Now,
this would place the resurrection of our Master Yahoshua at the time of the very
end of the Sabbath day just prior to the sun setting.
Mattithyahu 12:8 “For the Son of Aḏam
is Master of the Sabbath.” Mattithyahu
12:10-12 “And see, there was a man having a withered hand. And they asked Him,
saying, “Is it right to heal on the Sabbath?” – so as to accuse Him. v.11 And
He said to them, “What man is there among you who has one sheep, and if it
falls into a pit on the Sabbath, shall not take hold of it and lift it out?
v.12 “How much more worth is a man than a sheep! So it is right to do good on
the Sabbath.””
What
Greater Good Could Yahweh Of The Sabbath Do Than To Conquer The Curse Of Sin
And Death For Us On The Sabbath?
By
now the studious reader will have looked up the one verse in their concordance /
Bible that seems to state that Yahoshua rose from the dead.
Mark 16:9 “And having risen early on the first day of the
week, He appeared first to Miryam from Maḡdala, from whom He had
cast out seven demons.”
Most
serious religious scholars know you cannot establish any belief or doctrine on
just one “scripture” reference. However,
this verse seems to be the great exception in all of Christendom. In the original manuscripts it is well known
there is no punctuation like we use today.
When you consider the rule of language you will soon realize that the
subject of this verse is Yahoshua’s appearing to “Mary Magdalene” not His
resurrection.
It
should read, “And having risen, early on the first day of the
week, He appeared first to Miryam from Maḡdala, from whom He had
cast out seven demons.”
This
rendering is in full agreement with the rest of “The Scriptural” accounts. As
recorded in the Gospel’s. All the
Gospel’s record the same thing. The tomb
was empty when it was first visited on early Sunday and that He first appeared
to His taught ones on the first day of the week. Matt. 28:1-6, Mark 16:2-6,
Luke 24:1-6, Yahonan / John 20:1-2.
There
are only two or three other “Scriptures” that are used to argue against Sabbath
keeping. They are both found in the first
century writings (NT).
Acts 20:7-9 “And on the first day of the week,
the taught ones having gathered together to break bread, Sha’ul, intending to
depart the next day, was reasoning with them and was extending the word till
midnight. v.8 And there were many lamps in the upper room where they were
assembled. v.9 And a certain young man, by name Eutuchos, was sitting in a
window, being overpowered by a deep sleep. As Sha’ul kept on reasoning, he was
overcome by sleep and fell down from the third storey, and was picked up dead.”
Until this day the Yahudim and many Messianic
believers celebrate the Hav-da-lah. This
is a post Sabbath fellowship dinner and celebration that begins at sunset,
which marks the start of the new day. In
“the Scriptures” the day always starts at evening. (Bereshith / Genesis
1:31) The reasoning for this meal is to
prolong the beloved sweetness of Sabbath fellowship and make it for an even
shorter time until the Sabbath would arrive again. This is the meal that “The Scriptural”
account is speaking of.
Acts
20:10-11, continues on to tell us that, through the apostle Paul, Yahweh rose
the man who died back to life again and then Paul kept right on talking
throughout the entire night until the break of dawn. Then on the morning of the first day he departed
and walked all day to go meet his fellow travelers at the ship he would set sail
on. Paul must not have gotten the memo about
reverencing the first day of the week, because he was busy traveling all day.
v.10
“And Sha’ul, having gone down, fell on him, and embracing him said, “Do not be
upset, for his life is in him.” v.11Then going up again, and having broken
bread and eaten, he talked a long while, even till daybreak, and so went forth.”
1Corinthians 16:1-2 “And concerning the collections for the
set-apart ones, you are to do as I gave orders to the assemblies of
Galatia: On the first day of the week
let each one of you set aside, storing up whatever he is prospered, so that
there are no collections when I come.”
In Mattithyahu 20:1-16, Yahoshua gave a parable of
men who worked for a day and were paid the same day. He would not have used this example in His
parable if it was not a common practice in His day. The above verse in Corinthians does not say
they were take up an offering collection, rather it states that they should lay
aside the wages of their first fruits to Yahweh. This is exactly what ministers still teach
their churches today.
Colossians
2:16-17 Let no one therefore judge you in eating or in drinking, or in respect
of a festival or a new moon or Sabbaths – v.17 which are a shadow of what is to
come – but the Body of the Messiah.
First,
I would point out that this verse in context is speaking of the annual Sabbaths
and it is rendered as such in the ancient manuscripts and almost every serious
scholar already knows this.
Second,
I would point out a possibility the “churches” never stop to consider. Rav Shaul could have very well been telling
the assemblies at Colasse’ not to receive any judgment or condemnation from
anyone for their keeping the feasts and the new moons. (Romans 8:1-2) I am reasonably certain their pagan neighbors
and the proselyte Yahudim would have been extremely judgmental of their
attempting to keep the set-apart feasts of Yahweh based on “The Scriptural”
evidence. (1Kepha / Peter 4:1-5 & Gal. 2:4)
Finally,
most people completely miss the point that it is the body of Yahoshua that is
to be the judge of these matters in the local assemblies. They miss this point either because they are
using a new age Bible translation or they ignore that the word (is) is italicized in the KJV which means it was was added
by the translators.
My
Scriptures Translation (quoted above), which was translated from the same
manuscripts as the KJV, reads, “The body of Messiah is to be the judge of the
keeping or not keeping the feasts and how they are to be kept, not the pagans
or the proselyte Yahudim.”
Remember
Hebrew is all about context! Let us take
a close look at the Scriptures proceeding and following Rav Shaul’s remarks in
Colossians 2:16-17.
Colossians
2:8 “See to it that no one makes a prey of you through philosophy and empty
deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary matters
of the world, and not according to Messiah.”
We
see here that Shaul is referencing philosophy as the love of the wisdom of men,
not the wisdom that proceeds from Heaven.
He says so rather plainly, “according to the tradition of men, according
to the elementary matters of the world,”.
The apostle Paul would never have referenced the Feasts of Yahweh as the
traditions of men when he knew they were commanded in “The Torah”. He also would have never referred to the
Set-apart Feasts of Yahweh, or any part of “The Torah” as elementary matters of
the world would he knew that proceeded from Heaven’s throne.
Colossians
2:20-22
“If, then, you died with Messiah from the elementary matters of the world, why,
as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations: v.21 “Do
not touch, do not taste, do not handle” –
v.22
which are all to perish with use – according to the commands and teachings of
men?”
Once
again we see the apostle is referring to “the commands and teachings (traditions)
of men” and not “The Torah” of Yahweh which He gave to Yisrael out of His Fatherly
heart of mercy and compassion for His children, forever. (Mismore 119:89, MattithYahu
5:17-18 & 24:35)
One
other verse that is sometimes thrown out in the Sabbath or Sunday debate is
found in Romans 14:5-6a.
“One indeed judges one day above another, another judges every day alike. Let each one be completely persuaded in his own mind. v.6 He who minds the day, minds it to יהוה. And he who does not mind the day, to יהוה he does not mind it.”
“One indeed judges one day above another, another judges every day alike. Let each one be completely persuaded in his own mind. v.6 He who minds the day, minds it to יהוה. And he who does not mind the day, to יהוה he does not mind it.”
Even
though this text and / or context does not have anything to do with keeping the
Sabbath set apart unto Yahweh the number of people who will try to make it
about the Sabbath is truly surreal / unreal.
One
final thought!
Within
the Sabbath command is contained the official seal of the Sovereign of
sovereigns.
Shemoth
/ Exodus 20:8-11 “Remember the Sabbath day, to set it apart. v.9 Six days you
labour, and shall do all your work, v.10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath1
of יהוה your Elohim. You do not do
any work – you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor
your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your
gates. (Footnote: 1There are other Sabbaths, but this is the weekly
Sabbath.) v.11 “For in six days יהוה made
the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore יהוה
blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart.
An
official seal is made up of the name, the title and the territory! For example:
Barak
Hussein Obama – Name,
President
– Title,
The
United States of America - Territory
Yahweh
– His Name
Elohim
– His Title
Heaven
and Earth – His Territory
It
is the Sabbath rest that set the true Elohim of Yisrael apart from all the
other elohim which have always been worshipped on SUN-day, time immemorial!!!
How
can an official seal be altered in any way once it is affixed? It is impossible!
Daniel
6:7-9 “All the governors of the reign, the nobles and viceroys, the counsellors
and advisors, have consulted together to establish a royal decree and to make a
strong interdict, that whoever petitions any elah or man for thirty days,
except you, O sovereign, is thrown into the den of lions. v.8 “Now, O
sovereign, establish the interdict and sign the writing, so that it is not to
be changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which does not pass
away.” v.9 So Sovereign Dareyawesh signed the written interdict.
Daniel
6:12 Then they approached the sovereign,
and spoke concerning the sovereign’s interdict, “Have you not signed a
interdict that every man who petitions any elah or man within thirty days,
except you, O sovereign, is thrown into the den of lions?” The sovereign
answered and said, “The word is certain, according to the law of the Medes
and Persians, which does not pass away.”
If
an earthly king cannot alter his law once His seal / signature is affixed, how
much more will King Yahweh, Yahoshua not alter His signature / seal once it
is affixed?
Mismore
/ Psalm 138:2 I will worship toward thy set-apart
temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above
all thy name.
Within
the Sabbath command is contained the official memorial of the Creation.
Shemoth
/ Exodus 20:8-11 “Remember the Sabbath day, to set it apart. v.9 Six days you
labour, and shall do all your work, v.10
but the seventh day is a Sabbath1 of יהוה
your Elohim. You do not do any work – you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor
your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger
who is within your gates. v.11 “For
in six days יהוה made the heavens and the earth, the
sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore יהוה blessed the Sabbath day and set it
apart.”
How can you change an official memorial once it is
established? It is impossible!
Imagine if you attempted to make the World War II
memorial in Washington, D.C. into a commemoration of something else
altogether? Imagine if you attempted to
make the apartheid museum in Johannesburg, S, Africa a museum about something
else altogether? The disapproval would
be loud and long and for good reason.
Why then does anyone think it is ok to change the eternal memorial of
the Sabbath that the Creator gave to the creation?
In the majority of “churches” in the western world today
it perfectly acceptable to believe in some form of evolution. The list of the “Christian” leadership that
espouses some form of evolutionary belief is impressive. i.e. Benny Hinn, Pat
Robertson, John Hagee, Kenneth Copeland, Kenneth Hagin, etc.
Could it be that the “church” that first did away with
the Sabbath memorial, that was given as a precious, eternal gift, to the
creation, has now also done away with the Creator of “The Scriptures” as well?
To those who believe in evolution I ask, “If you cannot
literally believe in the beginning of all things as explained in “The
Scriptures” in Bereshith / Genesis ch.1, how in your wildest imaginations are
you going to literally believe in the end of all things as explained in “The
Scriptures” found in Revelation?
That only leaves you with the middle, who is Yahoshua,
and He said, “I am the Aleph and the Tav, the First and the Last”! This leaves you with nothing but a blind
faith of circular reasoning in something that cannot be substantiated at all by
any of “The Scriptures”. It is far
removed from the faith that is defined in Hebrews 11:1, A faith of substance
and evidence.
Within
the Sabbath command is also contained the official memorial of our Salvation!
Debarim
/ Deuteronomy 5:12-15 “Keep the Sabbath day to sanctify it, as Yahweh thy
Elohim hath commanded thee. v.13 Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy
work: v.14 But the seventh day is the Sabbath of Yahweh thy Elohim: in
it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy
manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy
cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant
and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou. v.15 And remember that thou wast
a servant in the land of Mitsrayim, and that Yahweh thy Elohim
brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm:
therefore Yahweh thy Elohim commanded thee to keep the Sabbath day.”
The
Master Yahoshua redeemed Yisrael out of Egypt with an outstretched arm on the
Passover of Yahweh 1500 years before He
redeemed the whole world out of Mitsrayim / Egypt with an outstretched arm on
the cross at / on the Passover of Yahweh in AD 30.
Why
in Heaven or Earth would Yahweh, Yahoshua remove the memorial of His greatest
work of salvation and deliverance to those He saved with an outstretched
arm? Again, I say it is impossible! It simply cannot be done! In our wildest imaginations Yahweh would
never do such a disastrous and deadly thing!
His memorial of the creation and our salvation will always remain and
shall never be changed!
Since discovering the Truth that the veneration
of Sunday and the forsaking of the Sabbath was not by the authority of “The
Scriptures”, but rather by the authority of the prophesied Anti-Messiah I made
the quality decision to repent of not “Remembering the Sabbath day to keep it
set-apart.” Because of the love of the
Truth I can only follow Messiah and keep His commands.
1Yahonan / John 2:3 “And by this we know that we know Him, if we
guard His commands.” (Also See 3:6).
1Yahonan 5:3 “For this is the love for Elohim,
that we guard His commands, and His commands are not heavy,” (Also See 5:2,
2Yahonan v. 6, Yahonan 14:15).
2Thessalonians
2:10-13 “And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish;
because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. v.11
And for this cause Elohim shall send them strong delusion, that they should
believe a lie: v.12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth,
but had pleasure in unrighteousness. v.13 But we are bound to give thanks
always to Elohim for you, brethren beloved of the Master, because Elohim hath
from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit
and belief of the truth:”
Since I repented and started keeping the Sabbath
set-apart I can honestly say I have witnessed the power of Yahweh more than
ever before in both His protection and His provision. In addition I hear His voice even more
clearly than ever before because I am not just hearing what He says, but I am
also obeying His voice. (Ya’ acob / James 1:22)
He alone is AWESOME Elohim!
I
have learned to keep the Sabbath set-apart by following the instructions of The
Scriptures concerning Sabbath observance.
Shemoth / Exodus 20:9-10 “Six days shalt thou
labour, and do all thy work: v.10 But the seventh day is the Sabbath of
the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy
son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor
thy stranger that is within thy gates:”
Nehemiah 13:15-22 “In those days saw I in Yahudah
some treading wine presses on the Sabbath, and bringing in sheaves, and
lading asses; as also wine, grapes, and figs, and all manner of burdens,
which they brought into Yahrushalayim on the Sabbath day: and I testified against
them in the day wherein they sold victuals. v.16 There dwelt men of Tyre
also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the
Sabbath unto the children of Yahudah, and in Yahrushalayim. v.17 Then I
contended with the nobles of Yahudah, and said unto them, What evil thing is
this that ye do, and profane the Sabbath day? v.18 Did not your fathers thus,
and did not our Elohim bring all this evil upon us, and upon this city? yet ye
bring more wrath upon Yisrael by profaning the Sabbath. v.19 And it came to
pass, that when the gates of Yahrushalayim began to be dark before the Sabbath,
I commanded that the gates should be shut, and charged that they should not be
opened till after the Sabbath: and some of my servants set I at the
gates, that there should no burden be brought in on the Sabbath day. v.20
So the merchants and sellers of all kind of ware lodged without Yahrushalayim
once or twice. v.21 Then I testified against them, and said unto them, Why
lodge ye about the wall? if ye do so again, I will lay hands on you.
From that time forth came they no more on the Sabbath. v.22 And I
commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and that they
should come and keep the gates, to sanctify the Sabbath day. Remember
me, O my Elohim, concerning this also, and spare me according to the
greatness of thy mercy.”
Yeshayahu / Isaiah 58:13-14 “If you do turn
back your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My set-apart day,
and shall call the Sabbath ‘a delight,’ the set-apart day of יהוה ‘esteemed,’ and shall esteem it,
not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own
words, v.14 then you shall delight yourself in יהוה. And I shall cause you to ride on the heights of
the earth, and feed you with the inheritance of Yaʽaqoḇ your
father. For the mouth of יהוה has spoken!”
Mattithyahu 12:7-13 “And if you had known what
this means, ‘I desire compassion and not offering,’ you would not have
condemned the blameless. v.8 “For the Son of Aḏam is Master of the Sabbath.”
v.9
And having left there, He went into their congregation. v.10 And see, there was a man having a withered
hand. And they asked Him, saying, “Is it right to heal on the Sabbath?” – so as
to accuse Him. v.11 And He said to them, “What man is there among
you who has one sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, shall not
take hold of it and lift it out? v.12
“How much more worth is a man than a sheep! So it is right to do good on the
Sabbath.” v.13 Then He said to the man, “Stretch out your
hand.” And he stretched it out, and it was restored, as healthy as the other.”
We
will all keep the Sabbath in the Messianic Kingdom of Yahweh, Yahoshua!
Yehezkel
/ Ezekiel 46:1 “‘Thus said the Master יהוה, “The gate of the inner courtyard facing east is shut the six
days of work, but on the Sabbath it is opened, and on the day of the New Moon
it is opened.”
Yeshayahu
/ Isaiah 66:23 “And it shall be that from New Moon to New Moon, and from
Sabbath to Sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before Me,” declares יהוה.
Does
it make sense that Yahweh who does not change would ordain Sabbath observance
for the first four thousand years of human history, take it away for two
thousand years and then restore it again for the 1,000 year reign of the Messiah
and His people? It seems like double
mindedness / schizophrenia to me? What
do you think?
Mark 2:27 “And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.”
All
the richest blessings and the shalom of Heaven be yours as you walk perfectly
in His love in obedience to His Torah.
Even
though all of this body of evidence has been presented from the full counsel of
“The Scriptures” there still those who would object and say, “but I thought the
Sabbath was only for Yisrael”? To this
objection I would say first of all it is imperative you find out exactly who
Yisrael is from the full counsel of “The Scriptures”. The links provided are a good place to start.
Secondly,
how many Torahs (instructions) are there?
Answer: One!
Shemoth / Exodus 12:49 “There is one Torah for the native-born
and for the stranger who sojourns among you.” (Also see: Bemidbar / Numbers 15:16 & 29)
From the very beginning, the
gentiles (those out of covenant) have always been eligible to convert and
enjoin Yahweh’s people Yisrael.
“And
a mixed multitude went up with them too, also flocks and herds, very much
livestock.” Shemoth / Exodus 12:38
How
did they convert? By Yahweh’s favor
through faith in the shed blood of the Passover lamb. The exact same way in which we convert
today! Listen to what Yahweh Elohim
promises to every gentile that converts and keeps His Sabbath set-apart.
YeshaYahu
/ Isaiah 56:6-7 ~ “Also the sons of the foreigner who join themselves to יהוה,
to serve Him, and to love the Name of יהוה, to be His servants, all who guard
the Sabbath, and not profane it, and hold fast to My covenant – v.7 them I shall bring to My set-apart mountain, and let
them rejoice in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their
slaughterings are accepted on My altar, for My house is called a house of
prayer for all the peoples.”
In
closing I leave you with the Words of Yahoshua ha MaShiach.
Mark 2:27 “And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.”
Yahoshua made it perfectly clear that Yahweh gave mankind the gift of
the Set-apart Sabbath. He gave this gift
out of His heart of perfect love for His children. To receive any good thing from Heaven we must
do so by faith. Without faith it is
impossible to please Elohim our Creator.
Ibrim / Hebrews 11:6 “But without belief it is
impossible to please Him, for he who comes to Elohim has to believe that He is,
and that He is a rewarder of those who earnestly seek Him.”
Do you have the faith of a “mustard seed” to
receive Yahweh’s gift to you? The gift
of His Set-apart Sabbath.
Sincerely,
without wax,
Robert
& Jenn McDuffie ~ Mizmore / Psalm 119:18, Galatians 6:14
