SCRIPTURAL GIVING & STEWARDSHIP (OR) ARE YOU HEBREW IN YOUR GIVING?

SCRIPTURAL GIVING & STEWARDSHIP (OR) ARE YOU HEBREW IN YOUR GIVING?

A very few Believers tithe (approximately 2%, according to Barna research) and most give offerings. However, even fewer of those who tithe and give of their finances on a regular basis, experience the abundance that is promised to those who give faithfully. “V.10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in Mine house, Prove Me now herewith, saith YAHWEH of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. V.11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith YAHWEH of hosts.” Mal. 3:10-11

WHY IS THIS?

Most Believers have been duped into believing the local “church” is automatically the re-NEW-ed Covenant substitute for the storehouse of the Old Covenant. That is not what The Scriptures teach at all. If you are not doing your part, “bringing all the tithes into the storehouse”, how can you expect YAHWEH to do His part, “pour you out a blessing, so great, that there shall not be room enough to receive it?”

In addition, there are many other commands, principles and precepts that pertain to active stewardship, which the average “Christian” is completely ignorant of. These pertain specifically to receiving the blessing of Heaven in our finances that every Believer desires and needs in their lives.

The whole point of this Scripture study is so you can know what to give, where to give, to whom to give, when to give and how to give and have absolute confidence that YAHWEH will bless you and your finances as you practice Scripturally defined stewardship in every area of your life.

It was true in the Old Covenant and it is just as true in the re-NEW-ed Covenant, “My people have perished for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being priest for Me. Since you have forgotten the Torah of your Elohim, I also forget your children. Hosea 4:6

Unless we repent and return to YAHWEH’s Word in our hearing and in our doing of it, He will not bless out tithes and offerings. If we do not give as YAHWEH has commanded and if we do not live as YAHWEH has commanded why should we expect Him to bless us?

Ya ‘acob / James 1:22-25 “And become doers of the Word, and not hearers only deceiving yourselves. (See Also: Matt. 7:24-27, Luke. 6:46-49; 8:21, Rom. 2:13, Heb. 4:11, Rev. 22:14) V.23 Because if anyone is a hearer of the Word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror, v.24 for he looks at himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what he was like. V.25 But he that looked into the perfect Torah, that of freedom, and continues in it, not becoming a hearer that forgets, but a doer of work, this one shall be blessed in his doing of the Torah.”

Principle One ~ IT ALL BELONGS TO YAHWEH, ELOHIM
This means nothing belongs to us. We are merely stewards or servants of YAHWEH. We are entrusted with His wealth, to do with it, as He desires.

Mismore / Psalm 24:1 A Psalm of David. The earth is YAHWEH'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

Mismore 50:7 -12 Hear, O My people, and I will speak; O Yisrael, and I will testify against thee: I am Elohim, even thy Elohim. V.8 I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before Me. V.9 I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds. V.10 For every beast of the forest is Mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. V.11 I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are Mine. V.12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is Mine, and the fulness thereof.

Principle Two ~ YAHWEH IS NO RESPECTOR OF PERSONS
Scripture explains to us that this means He will reward every man according to His obedience or disobedience to the Word of YAHWEH, Elohim, in this life and in the life to come.

Debarim / Deuteronomy 10:17 For YAHWEH your Elohim is Elohim of elohims, and Master of masters, a great Elohim, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:

Galatians 6:7-8 Be not deceived; Elohim is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. V.8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Principle Three ~ YAHWEH REWARDS US IN ACCORDANCE WITH OUR GENEROSITY TOWARD ONE ANOTHER AND THROUGH ONE ANOTHER

Luke 6:38 “Give, and it shall be given to you. A good measure, pressed down and shaken together and running over shall be put into your lap. For with the same measure with which you measure, it shall be measured back to you.”

Many are guilty of using this verse at offering time in their church. However, if you will take the time to study all of Luke 6 you will clearly see that Y’shua is teaching a lesson concerning our giving to one another, not the local place of worship. Our giving does not just have to be money. It can be food, clothing, shelter, hospitality, encouraging words, comfort, prayer, etc, etc.

Scriptural Examples of THE LUKE 6:38 GIVING Promises Fulfilled

Rebekah served Abraham’s servant and his camels water to drink and she was blessed with great riches and a godly husband in return.

Bereshith / Genesis 24:15-22 And it came to pass, before he had done speaking, that, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham's brother, with her pitcher upon her shoulder. V.16 And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up. V.17 And the servant ran to meet her, and said, Let me, I pray thee, drink a little water of thy pitcher. V.18 And she said, Drink, my lord: and she hasted, and let down her pitcher upon her hand, and gave him drink. V.19 And when she had done giving him drink, she said, I will draw water for thy camels also, until they have done drinking. V.20 And she hasted, and emptied her pitcher into the trough, and ran again unto the well to draw water, and drew for all his camels. V.21 And the man wondering at her held his peace, to wit whether YAHWEH had made his journey prosperous or not. V.22 And it came to pass, as the camels had done drinking, that the man took a golden earring of half a shekel weight, and two bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight of gold;

Ruth gave up her former life to be the servant of her mother-in-law Naomi and she too received great riches and a godly husband.

Ruth 1:6 Then she arose with her daughters in law, that she might return from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how that YAHWEH had visited his people in giving them bread.

Ruth 1:16-19 And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy Elohim my Elohim: v.17 Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: YAHWEH do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me. V.18 When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her. 19 So they two went until they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi?

Ruth 2-4

The Scriptures are filled with literally dozens of examples of the Luke 6:38 promise, fulfilled.

As Believers, Our First Priority In Our Giving Is To Meet The Needs Of Our Family In Y’shua, not the world at large.

1 Yohanan 3:16-22 Hereby perceive we the love of Elohim, because He laid down His life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. V.17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up His bowels of compassion from Him, how dwelleth the love of Elohim in him? V.18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. V.19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him. V.20 For if our heart condemn us, Elohim is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. V.21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward Elohim. V.22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of Him, because we keep His commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.

If we see our brother in need, as defined by The Scriptures, and we refuse to meet the need out of our supply then we do not love YAHWEH, according to The Scriptures and our hearts condemn us as transgressors of the Royal Law that gives liberty.

Every church or ministry needs to have a ministry to the brethren to meet the needs of those who are experiencing an emergency or crisis in their finances. How can the church collect the tithes and offerings week after week of the faithful congregant(s) and then turn around and tell them they cannot help them in any way when they cannot afford to eat or pay their bills due to a present crisis or emergency? This is the highest level of hypocrisy and against The Scriptures.

However, our giving should not be limited to our fellow believers only.

Mishle’ / Proverbs 3:27-30 Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. V.28 Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and tomorrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee. V.29 Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee. V.30 Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm.

A very simple principle of giving is, “See the need, meet the need. Again, wisdom is applied to our hearts. The Scriptural admonition is to do good to him / her it is due. If I know there is open rebellion against YAHWEH, Elohim and a refusal to repent, then I cannot bless what Elohim cannot bless. Likewise, if I know there is ample resources for a bad habit like smoking, drinking, etc, but my brother claims financial hardship I cannot justify unwise stewardship of Heaven’s resources.

Mishle’ / Proverbs 14:21 He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.

Remember the Words of Y’shua when considering who is your neighbour. After telling of the “Good Samaritan” He asked the following question.

“Who, then, of these three, do you think, was neighbour to him who fell among the robbers?” v.37 And he said, “He who showed compassion on him.” Then יהושע said to him, “Go and do likewise.” ~ Luke 10:36-37

Principle Four ~ FOR ANY MINISTER TO BE WORTHY TO RECEIVE OUR TITHES AND OFFERINGS HE/SHE MUST BE A FULL TIME LABORER IN THE WORK OF THE GOSPEL.

This was true in the days of the Levites and it is still true today.

2 Thessalonians 3:8-15 Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you: v.9 Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us. V.10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. V.11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. V.12 Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Master Y’shua Ha MaShiach, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread. V.13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing. V.14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. V.15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

Principle Five ~ ELOHIM GAVE MAN WORK (STEWARDSHIP) BEFORE THE FALL

Work is a gift / blessing from Elohim! Godly stewardship begins with the work that Elohim had blessed us to do.

Bereshith / Genesis 2:15 And the YAHWEH, Elohim took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

Bereshith 3:17-19 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; v.18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; v.19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

Work is also a part of the Sabbath commandment!

Shemoth / Exodus 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

SCRIPTURE PROMISES THE BELIEVER A HUNDRD FOLD RETURN!

Is there really a hundred fold blessing in the Scriptures?

Yes! However, the blessing is not an increase in finances. It is an increase in every manner of relative and hospitality and reception into foreign lands by those who have also been adopted into the family of Elohim by the blood of Y’shua. We have family everywhere we go in this present world! The body of Christ knows no limitations of geography!

Mark 10:28 Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee. V.29 And Y’shua answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, v.30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

Mattithyahu 12:48-50 But He answered and said unto him that told him, Who is My mother? and who are My brethren? V.49 And He stretched forth His hand toward His disciples, and said, Behold My mother and My brethren! V.50 For whosoever shall do the will of My Father which is in heaven, the same is My brother, and sister, and mother.

Principle Six ~ OUR FATHER, YAHWEH ELOHIM IS GENEROUS BY NATURE. AS HIS OFFSPRING WE SHOULD BE GENEROUS BY NATURE TOO!

YAHWEH, Elohim gave the promised land to Abraham.

Bereshith / Genesis 12:7 And יהוה appeared to Aḇram and said, “To your seed I give this land.” And he built there an altar to יהוה, who had appeared to him.

Bereshith 13:15 for all the land which you see I shall give to you and your seed forever.

Elohim loves and looks after the orphan, widow and the stranger and gives them protection and provision.

Debarim / Deuteronomy 10:18 He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment. V.19 Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt. V.20 Thou shalt fear YAHWEH thy Elohim; Him shalt thou serve, and to Him shalt thou cleave, and swear by His name. v.21 He is thy praise, and He is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen.

Debarim 24:19-22 When thou cuttest down thine harvest in thy field, and hast forgot a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow: that YAHWEH thy Elohim may bless thee in all the work of thine hands. V.20 When thou beatest thine olive tree, thou shalt not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow. V.21 When thou gatherest the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean it afterward: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow. V.22 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt: therefore I command thee to do this thing.

Mismore / Psalm 68:4-6 “Sing to Elohim, sing praises to His Name. Raise up a highway for Him Who rides through the deserts, By His Name Yah, And exult before Him. V.5 Father of the fatherless, And Right-ruler of widows, Is Elohim in His set-apart dwelling. V.6 Elohim makes a home for the lonely; He brings out into prosperity Those who are bound with chains; Only the rebellious shall dwell in a dry land.”

He has called us to do the same as a part of our call as stewards of His Kingdom.

Ya ‘acob / James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before Elohim and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Ibrim / Hebrews 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

Elohim has given us His Ruah HaChodesh (Holy Spirit).

Acts 15:8 And Elohim, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Ruah Ha Chodesh, even as He did unto us;

Elohim is good and kind to His people, forever.

Ezra 3:11 And they responded by praising and giving thanks to יהוה, “For He is good, for His kindness towards Yisra’ĕl is forever.” And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised יהוה, because the foundation of the House of יהוה was laid.

Wise stewardship proceeds from a heart of worship, praise and thanksgiving, giving YAHWEH, Elohim all the glory.

Mismore / Psalm 50: 14-15 Offer unto Elohim thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: v.15 And call upon Me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify Me.

Luke 17:16 and he fell down upon his face at His feet, giving thanks to Him. And he was a Shomeronite.

Ephesians 5:20 giving thanks always for all to Elohim the Father, in the Name of our Master יהושע Messiah,

Romans 4:20 He staggered not at the promise of Elohim through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to Elohim;

1 Thessalonians 5:18 in all circumstances give thanks, for this is the desire of Elohim in Messiah יהושע for you.

The heart of YAHWEH and thus the heart and motivation of anyone taking up the tithes and offerings should be for the people of Elohim to blessed for doing so.

Philippians 4:15 And you know too, Philippians, that in the beginning of the Good News, when I went out from Makedonia, no assembly shared with me concerning giving and receiving, except you only, v.16 because, even in Thessalonike you sent to my need, once and twice. V.17 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that is multiplying to your account. V.18 Indeed I have all and more than enough. I have been filled, having received from Epaphroditos what you sent, a sweet-smelling fragrance, an acceptable offering, well-pleasing to Elohim. V.19 And my Elohim shall fill all your need according to His riches in esteem by Messiah יהושע.

Husbands are called to be wise stewards of their marriage that their prayers will be heard and answered.

1 Kepha 3:7 In the same way, husbands, live understandingly together, giving respect to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the favour of life, so that your prayers are not hindered.

Principle Seven ~ TITHING IS A BIBLICAL PRECEPT THAT PROCEEDS AND SUPERCEDES THE GIVING OF THE LAW / TORAH AT MOUNT SINAI. IT IS A PART OF A COVENANT RELATIONSHIP WITH YAHWEH, ELOHIM THAT ACKNOWLEDGES HIM, ALONE AS THE GIVER AND PROVIDER OF EVERY GOOD THING.

Abraham tithed ~ Bereshith / Genesis 14:20 “And blessed be the Most High Ěl who has delivered your enemies into your hand.” And he gave him a tenth of all.

Ya ‘acob tithed ~ Bereshith 28:22 “And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be Elohim's house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.”

All of YAHWEH’s chosen people Yisrael tithed ~ Way yiqra / Leviticus 27:30 ‘And all the tithe of the land – of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree – belongs to יהוה. It is set-apart to יהוה.

All of the ministers of Yisrael, the Levites, also tithed ~ Bemidbar / Numbers 18:26 Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up an heave offering of it for YAHWEH, even a tenth part of the tithe.

Nehemiah 10:38 And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes: and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes unto the house of our Elohim, to the chambers, into the treasure house.

Mattithyahu 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

We are robbing YAHWEH, Elohim if we do not tithe.

Malachai 3:8 Will a man rob Elohim? Yet ye have robbed Me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed Thee? In tithes and offerings. V.9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed Me, even this whole nation. V.10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in Mine house, and prove Me now herewith, saith the YAHWEH of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. V.11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith YAHWEH of hosts. V.12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith YAHWEH of hosts.

However, most believers who tithe completely miss the command to bring the tithes in the storehouse. They have been lied to for so long they actually believe the storehouse is their local church. It is no wonder most believers who tithe and walk in obedience to the Word of Elohim never experience the blessing promised in verses 10 and 11.

The storehouses of the temple were specifically built so the people of Yisrael could bring the fruit of their increase every three years to Jerusalem. They will fill the storehouses up so there would be provision for the widow, orphan and the poor strangers who came up to the Temple to keep the feasts of YAHWEH. In this way all of Yisrael would be provided for.

Debarim / Deuteronomy 14:28-29 At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates: v.29 And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that YAHWEH thy Elohim may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.

Rav Shaul (the apostle Paul) taught the same thing ~ 2 Corinthians 8:14-15 But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality: v.15 As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack.

Debarim 26:12-13 When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled; v.13 Then thou shalt say before YAHWEH thy Elohim, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which Thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed Thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them:

Most of the assemblies of believers have no specific ministry to widows, orphans and the hospitality of strangers even though it is found in the Old and New Covenant Scriptures. If your church does not practice these three ministries of “The Scriptures” then according to “The Scriptures” they are not worthy to receive the tithes. I would encourage you to find a ministry that practices these three ministries in addition to the work of the Gospel and that is where I would send my tithes. Only then can YAHWEH bless you fully in your giving.

(Author’s Notice: If you do not know of such a ministry, my wife Jennifer and I have practiced this kind of giving in our ministry from the beginning. We would be glad and most humbled to receive your tithes that you may be blessed according to The Scriptures. You may send us an e-mail at ssisouthafrica@gmail.com for more details.)

The Lord Y’shua commanded us to give our unrighteous money so that we may gain an eternal inheritance when we die.

Luke 16:9-15 V.9 “And would I say to you, make friends for yourselves by unrighteous mammon, that when you fail, they shall receive you into everlasting dwellings? V.10 “He who is trustworthy in what is least, is trustworthy also in much. And he who is unrighteous in what is least is unrighteous also in much. V.11 “If, therefore, you have not been trustworthy in the unrighteous mammon, who shall entrust to you the true? v.12 “And if you have not been trustworthy in what is another man’s, who shall give you what is your own? V.13 “No servant is able to serve two masters, for either he shall hate the one and love the other, or else he shall cling to the one and despise the other. You are not able to serve Elohim and mammon.” V.14 And the Pharisees, who loved silver, also heard all this, and were sneering at Him, v.15 so He said to them, “You are those who declare yourselves righteous before men, but Elohim knows your hearts, because what is highly thought of among men is an abomination in the sight of Elohim.

Did you notice, Y’shua calls money unrighteous, the least of all and an abomination in the eyes of Heaven?

Now The Scriptures teach us that those who labour in the word and doctrine are worthy of double the wages of those they teach.

1 Timothy 5:17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.

Sadly, those who are true ministers of the Word of Elohim are very rarely honored in this way. Usually, the only ministers who are being honored financially are the shameless charlatan’s, showmen and profits for hire in the name of Jesus / Y’shua. Sadly many have come in the name of Jesus / Y’shua, claiming He is the Messiah and deceiving the masses, just as He foretold would happen! (Mattithyahu 24:5)

If you cannot trust the minister of the congregation you attend with your money (the least) then how can you trust him with your soul (the most)? If your minister is covetous and is always preaching on prosperity and worldly wealth how can He be a servant of Elohim according to these Scriptures? No man can love Elohim and money! It is impossible!

There is a very high standard to be a minister of Elohim. According to Barna Research group far less than 15% of all American ministers meet this criteria.

The average Pastor labors in the Word less than 30 minutes a week to preach on Sunday morning, spends less than 5 minutes in prayer a day and looks at pornography on the Internet on a regular basis. Carefully consider if your pastor meets the Scriptural criteria laid out in The Scriptures before you give him YAHWEH, Elohim’s tithe.

The following passages of the New Testament tell you what criteria must be met to be a servant of Elohim in the capacity of Pastor or Deacon.

1Timothy 3:1-7 This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop (which is just another name for the local pastor), he desireth a good work. V.2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; v.3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; v.4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; v.:5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of Elohim?) v.6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. V.7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

V.8 Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre; v.9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience. V.10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless. V.11 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things. V.12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well. v.13 For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Ha MaShiach Y’shua.

Titus 1:6-16 If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly. V.7 For a bishop (pastor) must be blameless, as the steward of Elohim; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre; v.8 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate; v.9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. V.10 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: v.11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake. V.12 One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies. V.13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; v.14 Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth. V.15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. 16 They profess that they know Elohim; but in works they deny Him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
thought of among men is an abomination in the sight of Elohim.

Timothy and Titus were “New Testament Church” pastors. Should the criteria Shaul had for him, as a pastor, be any less today for our pastors?

2 Timothy 4:1-5 I charge thee therefore before Elohim, and the Master Y’shua Ha MaShiach, who shall judge the quick and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom; v.2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. V.3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; v.4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. V.5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

There is only one of two reasons you should be attending any congregation!

One – They are one of the extremely rare congregations that actually hold to The Scriptures in holy reverence and obedience to hear and obey them.
Two – Heaven has called you there as a missionary to call them to repentance and return to the hearing and doing of the Word of YAHWEH, Elohim.

If your pastor is not qualified by Heaven, why are you giving him your tithes? How can Heaven bless your giving to that which is cursed in the eyes of Elohim?

Heaven knows no titles or rankings and yet we find the religious world is filled with them in these last days. In The Scriptures we are all called stewards and servants. We are all called to be found faithful in every area of our lives as stewards.

1 Corinthians 4:2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

1 Kepha / Peter 4:10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of Elohim.

Mattithyahu 20:25-27 But יהושע called them near and said, “You know that the rulers of the gentiles are masters over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. V.26 “But it shall not be so among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you, let him be your servant. V.27 “And whoever wishes to be first among you, let him be your servant,

Mattithyahu 23:8-12 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Ha MaShiach; and all ye are brethren. V.9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. V.10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Ha Ma Shiach. V.11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. V.12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

Does your pastor love to recognized by others and insist on being addressed by his title(s)? What does The Scripture say about all such hypocrisy?

Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as Elohim hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Principle Eight ~ ALL GIVING MUST COME FROM A HEART OF WORSHIP IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH

Mismore / Psalm 51:16-17 For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering. V.17 The sacrifices of Elohim are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O Elohim, thou wilt not despise.

Consider The Contrast Between Cain and Abel ~ Bereshith 4:3-5 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto YAHWEH. V.4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And YAHWEH had respect unto Abel and to his offering: v.5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

Acts 5:1-11 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, v.2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet. V.3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to Ruah ha Chodesh, and to keep back part of the price of the land? V.4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto Elohim. V.5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things. V.6 And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him. V.7 And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in. v.8 And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much. V.9 Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Master? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out. V.10 Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband. V.11 And great fear came upon all the assembly, and upon as many as heard these things.

True stewardship is all about loving the Giver, not the gift(s) He has blessed us with. We see this in the account of Abraham and Yitshak / Isaac when they were called to Mt. Moriah.

Bereshith 22:1-3 And it came to pass after these things, that Elohim did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am. V.2 And He said, Take now thy son, thine only son Yitshak, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. V.3 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which Elohim had told him.

Bereshith 22:9 And they came to the place which Elohim had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Yitshak his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood. V.10 And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son. V.11 And the angel of YAHWEH called unto him out of Heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I. v.12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest Elohim, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from Me.

We see this example again when the children of Yisrael were called to build the tabernacle in the wilderness. They were given the wealth of Mitsrayim / Egypt by YAHWEH so that they could in return given of their wealth to YAHWEH.

Shemoth / Exodus 35:21-22 And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing, and they brought YAHWEH'S offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all His service, and for the holy garments. V.22 And they came, both men and women, as many as were willing hearted, and brought bracelets, and earrings, and rings, and tablets, all jewels of gold: and every man that offered offered an offering of gold unto YAHWEH.

Shemoth 35:29 The children of Yisrael brought a willing offering unto YAHWEH, every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work, which YAHWEH had commanded to be made by the hand of Mosheh.

Shemoth 36:5 And they spake unto Mosheh, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work, which YAHWEH commanded to make. V.6 And Mosheh gave commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman make any more work for the offering of the sanctuary. So the people were restrained from bringing. V.7 For the stuff they had was sufficient for all the work to make it, and too much.

Debarim 16:10-17 And thou shalt keep the feast of weeks unto YAHWEH thy Elohim with a tribute of a freewill offering of thine hand, which thou shalt give unto YAHWEH thy Elohim, according as YAHWEH thy Elohim hath blessed thee: v.11 And thou shalt rejoice before YAHWEH thy Elohim, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which YAHWEH thy Elohim hath chosen to place his name there. V.12 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in Egypt: and thou shalt observe and do these statutes. V.13 Thou shalt observe the feast of tabernacles seven days, after that thou hast gathered in thy corn and thy wine: v.14 And thou shalt rejoice in thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite, the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates. V.15 Seven days shalt thou keep a solemn feast unto YAHWEH thy Elohim in the place which YAHWEH shall choose: because YAHWEH thy Elohim shall bless thee in all thine increase, and in all the works of thine hands, therefore thou shalt surely rejoice. V.16 Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before YAHWEH thy Elohim in the place which He shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before YAHWEH empty: v.17 Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of YAHWEH thy Elohim which He hath given thee.

Luke 21:1 And He looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. V.2 And He saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. V.3 And He said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: v.4 For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of Elohim: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.

Principle Nine ~ YAHWEH DESIRES OBEDIENCE TO HIM MORE THAN OUR TITHES AND OFFERINGS. WITHOUT OBEDEINCE TO HIS WORD HE CANNOT BLESS OUR GIVING.

Hosea 6:6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of Elohim more than burnt offerings.

Isaiah 1:10-17 Hear the Word of YAHWEH, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our Elohim, ye people of Gomorrah. V.11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith YAHWEH: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats. V.12 When ye come to appear before Me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread My courts? V.13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto Me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. V.14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts My soul hateth: they are a trouble unto Me; I am weary to bear them. V.15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide Mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. V.16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before Mine eyes; cease to do evil; v.17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

All of Proverbs 7 is a picture of the apostate church of the last days. She continues to give of her finances even though she is living an adulterous / idolatrous lifestyle.

Proverbs 7:14 “I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows.”

1 Samuel 15:22 And Samuel said, Hath YAHWEH as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of YAHWEH? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

1 Samuel 13:12-14 Therefore said I, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication unto YAHWEH: I forced myself therefore, and offered a burnt offering. V.13 And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of YAHWEH thy Elohim, which He commanded thee: for now would YAHWEH have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever. V.14 But now thy kingdom shall not continue: YAHWEH hath sought Him a man after His own heart, and YAHWEH hath commanded him to be captain over His people, because thou hast not kept that which YAHWEH commanded thee.

Deuteronomy 26:12-18 When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled; v.13 Then thou shalt say before YAHWEH thy Elohim, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all Thy commandments which Thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed Thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them: v.14 I have not eaten thereof in my mourning, neither have I taken away ought thereof for any unclean use, nor given ought thereof for the dead: but I have hearkened to the voice of YAHWEH my Elohim, and have done according to all that Thou hast commanded me. V.15 Look down from Thy holy habitation, from Heaven, and bless Thy people Yisrael, and the land which Thou hast given us, as Thou swarest unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey. V.16 This day YAHWEH thy Elohim hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul. V.17 Thou hast avouched YAHWEH this day to be thy Elohim, and to walk in His ways, and to keep His statutes, and His commandments, and His judgments, and to hearken unto His voice: v.18 And YAHWEH hath avouched thee this day to be His peculiar people, as He hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all His commandments;

Matthew 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

Principle Ten ~ ALL STEWARDSHIP COMES FROM SINCERE LOVE FOR YAHWEH AND FOR HIS PEOPLE.

1 John 2:5 But whoso keepeth His word, in him verily is the love of Elohim perfected: hereby know we that we are in Him.

1 John 5:2-3 By this we know that we love the children of Elohim, when we love Elohim, and keep His commandments. V.3 For this is the love of Elohim, that we keep His commandments: and His commandments are not grievous.

2 Corinthians 8:1-16 Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of Elohim bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; v.2 How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. V.3 For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves; v.4 Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. V.5 And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Master, and unto us by the will of Elohim. V.6 Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also. V.7 Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also. V.8 I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love. V.9 For ye know the grace of our Master Y’shua Ha MaShiach, that, though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that ye through His poverty might be rich. V.10 And herein I give my advice: for this is expedient for you, who have begun before, not only to do, but also to be forward a year ago. V.11 Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have. V.12 For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not. V.13 For I mean not that other men be eased, and ye burdened: v.14 But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality: v.15 As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack. V.16 But thanks be to Elohim, which put the same earnest care into the heart of Titus for you.

2 Corinthians 9:1-15 For as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you: v.2 For I know the forwardness of your mind, for which I boast of you to them of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal hath provoked very many. V.3 Yet have I sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you should be in vain in this behalf; that, as I said, ye may be ready: v.4 Lest haply if they of Macedonia come with me, and find you unprepared, we (that we say not, ye) should be ashamed in this same confident boasting. V.5 Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your bounty, whereof ye had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not as of covetousness. V.6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. V.7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for Elohim loveth a cheerful giver. V.8 And Elohim is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: v.9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever. V.10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;) v.11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to Elohim. V.12 For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto Elohim; v.13 Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify Elohim for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Ha MaShiach, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men; v.14 And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of Elohim in you. V.15 Thanks be unto Elohim for His unspeakable gift.

In summation:
1) Everything belong to YAHWEH, Elohim.
2) YAHWEH is no respector of persons, but rewards every man according to his obedience or disobedience.
3) YAHWEH gives to us through others, in direct proportion of our giving to others. Our giving should be to our brothers in Messiah first, to him/her which it is due and our neighbor(s).
4) For a minster of the Word to receive wages / honor he must labor in the Word of Elohim and doctrine full time.
5) YAHWEH gives all men stewardship (work).
6) Our Father in Heaven is generous to overflowing and as His children we must be generous too. This generosity extends to our thanksgiving, praise, worship, familial relations and all things that pertain to life and godliness.
7) Tithing is a part of covenant relationship with YAHWEH, Elohim that is found all throughout The Scriptures. The tithe was / is meant for the welfare of those who minister the Word of YAHWEH, the widow, the orphan and the stranger as defined by The Scriptures.
8) All giving must proceed in true worship which is only in spirit and in truth. 9) If we give tithes and offerings and we are not living a life pleasing to YAHWEH in obedience to His Word we cannot / will not be blessed in our giving.
10) All of our giving and stewardship must be 100% motivated by our love for Elohim and for His people.

Experiencing YAHWEH Elohim

Much credit and thanks to Henry Blackaby and Claude King who taught me the first principles of Experiencing Elohim when I was just 16 years old.  I purposely did not comment on every verse in this study.  Many verses are given as examples so as to let the readers think critically concerning the context of the author’s usage.   Shalom, shalom!

EXPERIENCING YAHWEH ELOHIM

From "the Scriptures" we can know how Yahweh Elohim has consistently communicated to His people and how His people can know His voice and experience Him in Spirit and Truth.
1. YAHWEH ELOHIM IS ALWAYS WORKING

“But יהושע answered them, “My Father works until now, and I work.” Yahonan 5:17

“Therefore יהושע responded and said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son is able to do none at all by Himself, but only that which He sees the Father doing, because whatever He does, the Son also likewise does.” Yahonan 5:19

Yahweh Elohim was already working in the days of our father Abraham to redeem for Himself a people.

“And I put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed.  He shall crush your head, and you shall crush His heel.” Bereshith / Genesis 3:15

“But the promises were spoken to Aḇraham, and to his Seed. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Messiah. Galatians 3:16

“Knowing that you were redeemed from your futile way of life inherited from your fathers, not with what is corruptible, silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Messiah, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, foreknown, indeed, before the foundation of the world, but manifested in these last times for your sakes.” 1Kepha / Peter 1:18-20

Yahweh Elohim was also working in the days of Mosheh to redeem for Himself a people.

Shemoth / Exodus 2:23-25 “And it came to be after these many days that the sovereign of Mitsrayim died.  And the children of Yisra’ĕl groaned because of the slavery, and they cried out.  And their cry came up to Elohim because of the slavery. V.24 And Elohim heard their groaning, and Elohim remembered His covenant with Aḇraham, with Yitsḥaq, and with Ya’aqoḇ. V.25 And Elohim looked on the children of Yisra’ĕl, and Elohim knew!”

2. YHWH SPEAKS & INVITES US TO JOIN HIM IN WHAT HE IS DOING

“The doorkeeper opens for him, and the sheep hear his voice.  And he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.  “And when he has brought out his own sheep, he goes before them.  And the sheep follow him, because they know his voice.  “And they shall by no means follow a stranger, but shall flee from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers.” Yahonan 10:3-5

Yahonan 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches.  He who stays in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit.  Because without Me you are able to do naught!”

“And יהוה said to Aḇram, “Go yourself out of your land, from your relatives and from your father’s house, to a land which I show you.  “And I shall make you a great nation, and bless you and make your name great, and you shall be a blessing!” Bereshith / Genesis 12:1-2

Shemoth / Exodus 3:1-4 “And Mosheh was shepherding the flock of Yithro his father-in-law, the priest of Miḏyan.  And he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to Ḥorĕḇ, the mountain of Elohim.  And the Messenger of יהוה appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush.  And he looked and saw the bush burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed.  And Mosheh said, “Let me turn aside now, and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.”  And יהוה saw that he turned aside to see, and Elohim called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Mosheh! Mosheh!”  And he said, “Here I am.”

HOW DOES YAHWEH ELOHIM SPEAK TO HIS PEOPLE?

1. YAHWEH SPEAKS BY HIS WORD ~

“And we have the prophetic word made more certain, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts, knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture came to be of one’s own interpretation, for prophecy never came by the desire of man, but men of Elohim spoke, being moved by the Set-apart Spirit.” 2Kepha / Peter 1:19-21

Yeshayahu / Isaiah 8:20 “To the Torah and to the witness! If they do not speak according to this Word, it is because they have no daybreak.”

Debarim / Deuteronomy 4:2 “Do not add to the Word which I command you, and do not take away from it, so as to guard the commands of יהוה your Elohim which I am commanding you.”

1Shemuel / Samuel 3:7 “Now Shemu’ĕl did not yet know יהוה, and the word of יהוה was not yet revealed to him.”

Bereshith / Genesis 18:1-5 “And יהוה appeared to him by the terebinth trees of Mamrĕ, while he was sitting in the tent door in the heat of the day. So he lifted his eyes and looked, and saw three men standing opposite him.  And when he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them, and bowed himself to the ground, and said, “יהוה, if I have now found favour in Your eyes, please do not pass Your servant by.
“Please let a little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree.  “And let me bring a piece of bread and refresh your hearts, and then go on, for this is why you have come to your servant.”  And they said, “Do as you have said.”

Bereshith / Genesis18:9-10 “And they said to him, “Where is Sarah your wife?”  And he said, “See, in the tent.”  And He said, “I shall certainly return to you according to the time of life, and see, Sarah your wife is to have a son!”

Shemoth / Exodus 6:1-8 “And יהוה said to Mosheh, “Now see what I do to Pharaoh, for with a strong hand he is going to let them go, and with a strong hand he is going to drive them out of his land.”  And Elohim spoke to Mosheh and said to him, “I am יהוה.  “And I appeared to Aḇraham, to Yitsḥaq, and to Yaʽaqoḇ, as Ěl Shaddai.  And by My Name, יהוה, was I not known to them? “And I also established My covenant with them, to give them the land of Kena’an, the land of their sojournings, in which they have sojourned.  “And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Yisra’ĕl whom the Mitsrites are enslaving, and I have remembered My covenant. “Say, therefore, to the children of Yisra’ĕl, ‘I am יהוה, and I shall bring you out from under the burdens of the Mitsrites, and shall deliver you from their enslaving, and shall redeem you with an outstretched arm, and with great judgments, and shall take you as My people, and I shall be your Elohim.  And you shall know that I am יהוה your Elohim who is bringing you out from under the burdens of the Mitsrites.  ‘And I shall bring you into the land which I swore to give to Aḇraham, to Yitsḥaq, and to Ya’aqoḇ, to give it to you as an inheritance.  I am יהוה.’”

Note: The Messenger of Yahweh that appeared to Abraham and Mosheh was also know by the Hebrew word “Memra”, literally the “Word of Yahweh”.  This same Memra is the Logos in the Greek text of Yahonan 1:1.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Elohim, and the Word was Elohim.”
The subject of Yahoshua as the Word of Yahweh and the Messenger of Yahweh is covered in great depth and detail in the blog I have posted here.

2. YAHWEH SPEAKS THROUGH OUR CIRCUMSTANCES ~

“The steps of a man are from יהוה; What does a man know about his own way?” Mishle / Proverbs 20:24
“A man’s heart plans his way, But יהוה establishes his steps.” Mishle / Proverbs 16:9

Ya ‘acob / James 4:13-14 “Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow, let us go to such and such a city, spend a year there, and trade, and make a profit,” when you do not know of tomorrow. For what is your life? For it is a vapour that appears for a little, and then disappears – instead of your saying, “If the Master desires, we shall live and do this or that.” But now you boast in your proud speeches. All such boasting is wicked.”

Bereshith / Genesis 13:14-17 “And after Lot had separated from him, יהוה said to Aḇram, “Now lift up your eyes and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward, for all the land which you see I shall give to you and your seed forever.  “And I shall make your seed as the dust of the earth, so that, if a man could count the dust of the earth, then your seed also could be counted.

“Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you.”

Shemoth / Exodus 4:14-16 “And the displeasure of יהוה burned against Mosheh, and He said, “Is not Aharon the Lĕwite your brother?  I know that he speaks well.  And see, he is also coming out to meet you.
And when he sees you, he shall be glad in his heart.  And you shall speak to him and put the words in his mouth.  And I am with your mouth and with his mouth, and I shall teach you what to do.  And he shall speak for you to the people.  And it shall be that he shall be a mouth for you, and you shall be an elohim for him.”

Shemoth / Exodus 4:27-30 “And יהוה said to Aharon, “Go to meet Mosheh in the wilderness.”  And he went and met him on the mountain of Elohim, and kissed him.  Mosheh then told Aharon all the words of יהוה who had sent him, and all the signs which He had commanded him.  And Mosheh went with Aharon and gathered together all the elders of the children of Yisra’ĕl.  And Aharon spoke all the words which יהוה had spoken to Mosheh.  Then he did the signs before the eyes of the people.”

3. YAHWEH SPEAKS BY HIS RUAH HA CHODESH (THE SET-APART SPIRIT) ~ THROUGH PRAYER, A STILL SMALL VOICE, & THROUGH DREAMS & VISIONS.

1Melakim / Kings 19:9-12 ~ “And there he went into a cave and spent the night there.  And see, the word of יהוה came to him, and said to him, “What are you doing here, Ěliyahu?”  And he said, “I have been very jealous for יהוה Elohim of hosts, for the children of Yisra’ĕl have forsaken Your covenant.  They have thrown down Your altars, and they have slain Your prophets with the sword, and I am left, I alone, and they seek my life, to take it.”  And He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before יהוה.”  And see, יהוה passed by, and a great and strong wind tearing the mountains and breaking the rocks in pieces before יהוהיהוה was not in the wind.  And after the wind an earthquake – יהוה was not in the earthquake, and after the earthquake a fire – יהוה was not in the fire, and after the fire a still small voice.”

“But this is what was spoken by the prophet Yo’ĕl: ‘And it shall be in the last days, says Elohim, that I shall pour out of My Spirit on all flesh.  And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams, and also on My male servants and on My female servants I shall pour out My Spirit in those days, and they shall prophesy.” Acts 2:16-18

Acts 8:29 “And the set-apart Spirit said to Philip, “Go near and join him in that chariot.”

Acts 10:19 “And as Kĕpha was thinking about the vision, the set-apart Spirit said to him, “See, three men seek you.”

Bereshith / Genesis 15:1-3 “After these events the word of יהוה came to Aḇram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Aḇram.  I am your shield, your reward is exceedingly great.”  And Aḇram said, “Master יהוה, what would You give me, seeing I go childless, and the heir of my house is Eliʽezer of Damascus?”  And Aḇram said, “See, You have given me no seed, and see, one born in my house is my heir!”

Bereshith / Genesis 15:12-16 “And it came to be, when the sun was going down, and a deep sleep fell upon Aḇram, that see, a frightening great darkness fell upon him.  And He said to Aḇram, “Know for certain that your seed are to be sojourners in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them, and they shall afflict them four hundred years.  “But the nation whom they serve I am going to judge, and afterward let them come out with great possessions.  “Now as for you, you are to go to your fathers in peace, you are to be buried at a good old age.  “Then, in the fourth generation they shall return here, for the crookedness of the Amorites is not yet complete.”

4. YAHWEH SPEAKS THROUGH OTHER PEOPLE ~

“And having found taught ones, we remained there seven days.  And they told Sha’ul through the Spirit not to go up to Yahrushalayim.” Acts 21:4

Bereshith / Genesis 12:4-5 “So Abram departed, as Yahweh had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.  And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came.”
Bereshith / Genesis14:18-20 “And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high Elohim.  And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high Elohim, possessor of Heaven and earth: And blessed be the most high Elohim, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.”

3. YAHWEH ELOHIM ALWAYS CONFIRMS HIS WORD

“And יהוה appeared to Aḇram and said, “To your seed I give this land.”  And he built there an altar to יהוה, who had appeared to him.” Bereshith / Genesis 12:7, 13:14-16, 14:18-20, 15:1-5, 8-21, 17:1-21, 18:9-18, 22:15-18

Yahweh confirmed His Word a multitude of times to Moses His Servant and His people Yisrael. Shemoth / Exodus 3 – Debarim / Deuteronomy

Yahweh confirmed His Word to Shaul as recorded in Acts 21:10-11

“And as we were staying many days, a certain prophet named Ḥaḡaḇ came down from Yahuḏah, and having come to us, he took the girdle of Sha’ul, bound his own hands and feet, and said, “Thus says the Set-apart Spirit, ‘Thus shall the Yahuḏim at Yahrushalayim bind the man who owns this girdle, and deliver him into the hands of the gentiles.’ ”

4. WE WILL INEVITABLY EXPERIENCE A CRISIS OF BELIEF

“And a scarcity of food came to be in the land, and Aḇram went down to Mitsrayim to dwell there, for the scarcity of food was severe in the land.  And it came to be, when he was close to entering Mitsrayim, that he said to Sarai his wife,“See, I know that you are a fair woman to look at.  “And it shall be, when the Mitsrites see you, that they shall say, ‘This is his wife.’ And they shall kill me, but let you live.  “Please say you are my sister, so that it shall be well with me for your sake, and my life be spared because of you.” Bereshith / Genesis 12:10-13,16,20

Shemoth / Exodus 3:11 “And Mosheh said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Yisrael out of Egypt?”

Shemoth 4:1 “And Mosheh answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, Yahweh hath not appeared unto thee.”

Shemoth 4:10 “And Mosheh said to יהוה, “O יהוה, I am not a man of words, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant, for I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.”

Shemoth 4:13 “But he said, “O יהוה, please send by the hand of him whom You would send.”

Shemoth 4:24-26 “And it came to be on the way, in the lodging place, that יהוה met him and sought to kill him.  And Tsipporah took a sharp stone and cut off the foreskin of her son and threw it at Mosheh’s feet, and said, “You are indeed a bridegroom of blood to me!”  So He let him go.  Then she said, “You are a bridegroom of blood,” because of the circumcision.”

Shemoth 5:22-23 “And Mosheh returned to יהוה and said, “יהוה, why have You done evil to this people? Why did You send me? “For ever since I came to Pharaoh to speak in Your Name, he has done evil to this people. And You have not delivered Your people at all.”

Shemoth 6:12 “And Mosheh spoke before יהוה, saying, “The children of Yisra’ĕl have not listened to me, and why would Pharaoh listen to me, for I am of uncircumcised lips?”

5. WHAT WE DO NEXT REVEALS WHAT WE BELIEVE TO BE TRUE ABOUT YAHWEH - ELOHIM.

“And Aḇram went up from Mitsrayim into the South, he and his wife and all that he had, and Lot with him. And Aḇram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold. And he went on his journey from the South as far as Bĕyth Ěl, to the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bĕyth Ěl and Ai, to the place of the altar which he had made there at first. And there Aḇram called on the Name of יהוה.” Bereshith / Genesis 13:1-4

Shemoth / Exodus 4:18 “Then Mosheh went and returned to Yithro his father-in-law, and said to him, “Please let me go and return to my brothers who are in Mitsrayim to see whether they are still alive.” And Yithro said to Mosheh, “Go in peace.”

Shemoth 4:28-31 “Mosheh then told Aharon all the words of יהוה who had sent him, and all the signs which He had commanded him. And Mosheh went with Aharon and gathered together all the elders of the children of Yisra’ĕl. And Aharon spoke all the words which יהוה had spoken to Mosheh. Then he did the signs before the eyes of the people. And the people believed. And they heard that יהוה had visited the children of Yisra’ĕl and that He had looked on their affliction, and they bowed their heads and did obeisance.”
Shemoth 5:1 “And afterwards Mosheh and Aharon went in and said to Pharaoh, “Thus said יהוה Elohim of Yisra’ĕl, ‘Let My people go, so that they keep a festival to Me in the wilderness.’ ”

6. WE MUST MAKE THE NECESSARY ADJUSTMMENT TO JOIN
YAHWEH IN WHAT HE IS ALREADY DOING

“And after Lot had separated from him, יהוה said to Aḇram, “Now lift up your eyes and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward, for all the land which you see I shall give to you and your seed forever. “And I shall make your seed as the dust of the earth, so that, if a man could count the dust of the earth, then your seed also could be counted. “Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you.” So Aḇram moved his tent, and went and dwelt by the terebinth trees of Mamrĕ, which are in Heḇron, and built an altar there to יהוה.” Bereshith / Genesis 13:14-18

Bereshith 17:23-27 “And Aḇraham took Yishma’ĕl his son, and all those born in his house and all those bought with his silver, every male among the men of Aḇraham’s house, and circumcised the flesh of their foreskins that same day, as Elohim told him. And Aḇraham was ninety-nine years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. And Yishma’ĕl his son was thirteen years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. Aḇraham and his son Yishma’ĕl were circumcised that same day. And all the men of his house, born in the house or bought with silver from a foreigner, were circumcised with him.”

“So also belief, if it does not have works, is in itself dead. But someone might say, “You have belief, and I have works.” Show me your belief without your works, and I shall show you my belief by my works.” “You believe that Elohim is one. You do well. The demons also believe – and shudder! But do you wish to know, O foolish man, that the belief without the works is dead? Was not Aḇraham our father declared right by works when he offered Yitsḥaq his son on the altar? Do you see that the belief was working with his works, and by the works the belief was perfected?” Ya ‘acob / James 2:17-22

7. WE EXPERIENCE YAHWEH ELOHIM IN A NEW REVELATION AND INTIMACY WE HAVE NEVER KNOWN BEFORE.

Bereshith / Genesis 15:1 “After these things the word of Yahweh came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.”

Bereshith 17:1 “And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, Yahweh appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty Elohim; walk before me, and be thou perfect.”

Bereshith 17:5 “Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.”

Bereshith 17:9-14 “And Elohim said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations. This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised. And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you. And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed. He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant. And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant.”

Bereshith 18:1 “And Yahweh appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;”

Bereshith 18:2-5” And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground, And said, My Master, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant: Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree: And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said.”

Bereshith 22:14 “And Abraham called the name of that place Yahwehyireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of Yahweh it shall be seen.”

Shemoth / Exodus 33:11 “And Yahweh spake unto Mosheh face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.”

Shemoth 34:5-8 “And Yahweh descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of Yahweh. And Yahweh passed by before him, and proclaimed, Yahweh, Yahweh Elohim, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation. And Mosheh made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.”

And the Scripture was filled which says, “Aḇraham believed Elohim, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness.” And he was called, “Elohim’s friend.” Ya ‘acob / James 2:23

“You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.” Yahonan 15:13
All Scriptures were quoted from the “KJV” or “The Scriptures”. Both translations used the received texts as their manuscript authority.
